Take our word for it - learning to fly is fun! You don't necessarily have to hit the books in order to learn the material outside the cockpit. While it's recommended that you take care of your studying on your own, many others prefer to attend our one-on-one ground school courses. Not only will this ensure you cover all the critical materials, but it will also provide the flight instruction you need to get through everything in an organized and timely manner. Get exactly what you need to pass the knowledge test and get you ready to fly today!
This ground school course will teach you everything you need to pass the FAA private pilot knowledge test. Topics include airplane systems, aerodynamics, airport environments, proper communications and phraseology, meteorology, FARs, aircraft performance, charts and navigation, and human factors. Flight instruction again is personalized to you and will help you pass.
This ground school course will provide you with the ground training necessary to pass the FAA Instrument written knowledge test and get ready for more flight instruction. Topics include flight instrument systems, attitude instrument flight, instrument navigation, airports and airspace, FARs, ATC systems and clearances, departure, en-route and arrival charts and procedures, holding patterns, approach charts and procedures, GPS navigation, flight simulation, meteorology, aeromedical factors, and IFR emergency procedures and flight planning.
This class is a great introduction to flight instruction and aviation. The student will attend our full six to eight-week Private Pilot ground school to build a solid foundation of aviation theory. Upon successful completion of the ground school, the student takes his first flight lesson to put what he’s learned in the classroom to use in the cockpit and prepare for the knowledge test.
Focus flight instruction on the most common ATC and radio learning obstacles. Simulate ATC communications over a range of VFR flight situations, review the importance of AIM and FAA-approved radio phraseology, know when to anticipate ATC instructions and sequences in different airspaces, and learn when to transmit in the midst of “live” ATC exchanges. This ground school course will prepare students for the knowledge test.
Don’t you wish your spouse or other regular right-seat passenger could help out with some of your workload? This ground school course is meant for them. Once they complete our flight instruction course they will also get more enjoyment out of flying with you.
